Iceland!

Had a great flight - would recommend Icelandair to anyone!  Pillows and blankets (nice cushy ones), free movies (lots to choose from) and comfy seats.
As soon as we landed (at 6:30 AM!), got our bags, had our passports stamped (Kavin's first!), we took the first bus to the Blue Lagoon. It's like a giant hot tub with room service. With the geothermal steam clouding around us and the heads sticking out of the water with white facial goop (mine included), Kavin said it seemed like we were in Zombie Land, and he was right. But it was terrific, and a great thing to do when you haven't had any sleep. Plus, everyone there was just as happy as we were!

After we were as wrinkled as prunes, we had some breakfast and then walked along a trail amongst volcano rock - pretty little plants actually grow there. Kavin found a cave and there was this great egg sculpture out front.
We took the bus into Reykjavik and got settled into our apartment, then walked over to Hallgrimskirkja, Iceland's tallest (and no doubt most modern) church. Took the lift and some stairs up to see the view, and came down to see the incredible organ with over 2000 pipes.

After a nap, we went to the nearby and well-loved (they have 51 toppings, after all) Eldsmiojan pizzaria -yum! Bedtime!
